𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿… 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?

Over the past few days, my Facebook post about the developments at Caracasbaai has reached more than 13,000 people.

Some of you reacted.
Some of you shared it.
Some of you reached out to me personally to express your concerns.

However, I also noticed that relatively few of us are willing to express those concerns publicly. And I understand why.

For years, many of us have spoken out about what we see as unbalanced development at Kabakuchi, Koraal Tabak, Jan Thiel, Zakito, Daniel, Rif St. Marie, St. Martha, Lagun, Westpunt and several other projects. It is understandable that you gradually lost hope that our voices still make a difference.

I understand that feeling because I feel it too.

Some of you might even hesitate to speak up publicly because you worry the impact it may have on your relationships. As an entrepreneur, I understand those concerns as well.

𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝗿. 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘂𝘀.

Frustration and fear of speaking up won’t move us forward.

So, until these questions are answered, I will continue asking them because I really would like to understand:
